About
First of all, please note that this service is not yet approved by the FDA. You should review the results carefully and use them at your own risk. This service is not intended for clinical use.
The sinus augmentation calculator predicts the required bone grafting volume for the surgery based on a CNN model trained on a dataset with segmentations of the sinus-lifting region.
For testing, we ask the doctor to segment one case manually and, in parallel, upload it to our service. A visualization of the comparison is shown below:
How to use SAC
- Anonymize CBCT before uploading.
- Upload CBCT as a DICOM sequence in *.dcm format.
- Wait and don't close the browser. Typically, the job should be done in 15-20 minutes, but it depends on the queue.
- When the job is done, download the STL, note the volume, and check the results.
If you don't have any CBCT, you can use our test cases:
Download the first case or the second. Unzip and upload it.
Is it free?
Yes, the service is currently completely free. We would appreciate it if you could share your anonymized cases and experiences with us!
I use <dental softwire> for viewing CBCT. How can I upload data?
It depends on your software. Typically, you should check the "File > Export" menu. Sometimes, files are exported "for CD," and inside you can find the "Data" directory.
